Installing BSP under DOS and/or Windows

Installing a serial and/or parallel PCI card

True legacy serial/parallel cards do not need drivers to
operate under DOS.

Cards designed mainly for Windows need a DOS driver.

DOS drivers for Sunsway/ST Lab serial and parallel
cards can be downloaded from:

www.sunsway.com.hk/drivers.html

The zip file should contain the file NMDOSIN.EXE

Download and extract the files to eg. the
Dos partition's root directory: eg. C:\

You need to configure DOS by adding eg. the
following line to the end of the file
C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT:

C:\NMDOSIN -add -r [Enter]

Restart the computer then test the installation by typing

NMDOSIN [Enter]

The program will give you a list of the installed ports

Not all combinations of computers and cards may work.

We recommend that you use a motherboard with built
inn serial/parallel ports.
